Booking An Appointment
To book an appointment at The Brewer's
Apprentice you need to call the store directly.
We do not take appoint-ments via email. When you call,
you will need to provide us with some basic
information:
1) First we'll need to know the date
that you're hoping for. Brewing and wine making times
are available year-round on Mondays, Thursdays, and
Fridays from |
|
4pm until 8pm and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10am, 12:30pm,
and 3pm. Bottling appoint-ments are available every day
of the week except Tuesdays. Please note, we are closed
on Tuesdays year-round and during the summer (Memorial Day
- Labor Day) we are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Brewing and bottling times fill up
quickly, so we highly recommend that you make your appointment
at least a week in advance in order to ensure that you get
the date that you're hoping for.
2) When you make a brewing a appointment,
we require that a credit card be put in our temporary (and
secure) file. In the event that you do not show up for your
appointment, if you are late, or if you fail to give us
a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reduce the amount
of brews in your appointment, there is a charge of $50 per
brew affected. We need to do this for two reasons: A) When
we are expecting people to come and brew, we have to schedule
employees to assist them and we have to pay for the utilities
to power the brewing kettles. and B) If an appointment is,
in anyway, not honored by a customer and they brew on less
kettles than they were scheduled for, those kettles are
not in use and other customers could have taken them if
sufficient notice was given.
3) If you are making wine, we will need to
know what style(s) you want to make when
you schedule your appointment and your appointment must
be made at least a week in advance. We only carry the wine
ingredients we need for any given week in order in ensure
that we have the freshest product available. For more information
on the wine making process and for links to the list of
available wines, visit our Wine Making page.
4) If you want to make an exotic beer, such
as a pumpkin ale, a chocolate stout, a coffee stout, etc.,
then we need to know in advance so that we can have the
needed ingredients waiting for you on your brew day. If
you're not sure what else is "exotic", feel free
to call us!
Store Rules
We pride ourselves on running a fun
and casual business that everyone can enjoy. In order to
ensure that all of our customers are able to enjoy The Brewer's
Apprentice equally and so that our employees can do their
jobs efficiently, we do have some rules and guidelines.
1) Customers Brewing or Bottling On Premise:
We allow up to 4 people total per batch of beer, wine, or
mead. This applies to both the making of as well as the
bottling of said beverages. If you have more people in your
party make sure to plan accordingly when making your appointment.
We must enforce this rule in order to ensure that the enjoyment
of our other customers is not disrupted. If you are thinking
of having a private party, see our private
party rules below.
2) Tardiness:
When an appointment is made by a customer, they are expected
to show up on time. If they are not familiar with Freehold,
or if they are driving at a time of higher traffic, we ask
that they take this into account when making their appointment.
If a customer is late, they run the risk of being charged
a $50 "no show" fee per batch of beer that they
had scheduled... If a customer calls us in advance to let
us know they may be late, we can forewarn them of any issues
and we'll have a better chance of accommodating them (if
possible). If a customer is late by 15 minutes or more,
it is up to the manager on duty whether or not The Brewer's
Apprentice will be able to accommodate them. We schedule
our brewing times back to back, so any delay in the process
unfairly penalizes the customer after you and puts undue
stress on our employees.
3) Children:
The Brewer's Apprentice has never forbidden children from
coming with their parents, however, we do discourage it.
Our store is not a child friendly environment. We have boiling
kettles, hot water lines, chemicals and various
cleaners on almost every surface within the store, etc.
Not to mention that most of our customers come here to get
away from normal life and enjoy a calm, relaxing outting
with their friends. If you must bring children, they must
be behaved and well attended to so that they do not disrupt
our customers enjoyment.
4) Food & Beverages:
Our customers are always welcome to bring their own food,
snacks, or beverages. There are also several
good local restaurants that can deliver food to The Brewer's
Apprentice, just ask an employee for the menus. Please note,
food is not permitted within the bottling and brewing areas,
rather, food must be consumed on the "main floor"
of our store.
5) Guarantee:
We guarantee your satisfaction with your beverage. If you are
ever not completely satisfied with a beverage you have made on
our premises, bring it back to us within 6 months and we will
credit you the amount that you have brought back. For example,
if after drinking a case of beer you decide that you don't like
it, you can bring back the remaining 5 cases and we will let you
re-brew 5 cases of any recipe of equal value.
6) Abandoned Beer and Wines:
Any beers or wines that have been brewed on our premises that
have not been bottled by the customer within 6 months will be
considered as abandoned and will become the property of The
Brewer's Apprentice. We reserve the right to bottle any beers
or wines that have been brewed on our premises that have not
been bottled by the customer within 3 months; in this event, if
the customer wishes to pick up their beverage after it has been
bottled by The Brewer's Apprentice, there will be a $25 bottling
fee due on the day of pick up. It is up to the customer to make
their own bottling appointment(s) in a timely manner, please keep
this in mind when brewing on our premises. We must enforce this rule because
we have limited storage space and unclaimed product become a liability
over time.
Private Parties
Private parties can be held on our premises with
a guaranteed purchase of 4 or more batches of beer, mead,
or wine. Private parties are held after hours, so the store
is closed to all other customers... Slots are usually
available on: Monday, Thursday, and Friday with a start
time of 9pm... and Saturdays and Sundays with a start time
of 6pm. Parties are limited to a duration of 3 hours. Private
parties are not bound by our normal 4 person limit per batch,
so you can have more people without any extra costs, however
we do have a maximum limit of 60 people. There are no additional
fees involved other than the normal costs of brewing. We
require, at the least, 2 weeks notice when scheduling a
private party and a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the
final bill. For more inforamtion, or to schedule a private
party, call us at the store! |
