The Brewer's Apprentice

Store Rules and Guidelines

We pride ourselves in running a fun, casual, business that everyone can enjoy. But we do have a few rules and guidelines to help make everyone's visit pleasurable, and to help us do our job more efficiently. (Also check out our FAQ page for additional information)

Reservations and Appointments:

Appointment times are very important, to both the customer and our staff. During our busiest times, they are absolutely essential! We ask that you arrive for appointments on time, and that you call to reschedule as soon as you know you will not be able to keep an appointment, or if you will be more than 20 minutes late.

When you reserve three or more kettles or wines, we will request a $100 non-refundable deposit (credited on your brew date). We prefer that the deposit be by personal check, which will be applied to your bill on the scheduled brew date. Should you need to reschedule, we request 72 hours notice.

Children:

The Brewer's Apprentice has never forbidden children from coming with their parents. however we do discourage this. Our store does not have a child friendly environment. We have boiling wort in the kettles, chemicals and cleaners , concrete floors and glass bottles. As mothers ourselves we worry when children are under foot.

Food and Beverages:

Our customers are always welcome to bring their own food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during their visit. There are also several good restaurants and eateries that will deliver to our store (ask us for a recommendation). According to ABC rules, there is no consumption of alcoholic beverages on our premises.

Guests:

Brewing and wine-making is fun, so guests are always welcome. If we have time, we'll even give new visitors a quick tour of the store and our products. If you would like to have a large group participate, you may want to consider booking a private party night. (Check our Party Page)

Satisfaction:

We guarantee your satisfaction 100%. If you are ever not completely satisfied with any beer or wine, simply bring back the remainder of the batch, and we will do whatever is necessary to correct it. With over 10,000 batches of beer and wine produced, we can honestly say the rate of return is well under 1:1000

Labels:

We enjoy creating labels, both standard and custom, and have received many compliments. To insure that your labels are ready on bottling day, please insure that you follow our guidelines for submitting custom label orders. Also, please note that label orders not submitted according to our guidelines may result in an additional fee for custom work or mailing.

Abandoned Wines and Beer:

Effective January 1, 2004, any wines or beer left over 10 weeks will be bottled at the discretion of TBA, and a $25 fee applied per batch. Wines left over 6 months will become the property of The Brewer's Apprentice. If you have wine or beer with us for more than 2 months, please contact us immediately to make a bottling appointment.
