Who We Are...
Dear Customers,
In December of 2004, we began our ninth year in business. We continue to grow and offer new and interesting recipes and wine selections, and have expanded our home brew inventory as well. We have put our Shopping Cart online, to enable homebrewers (and gift certificate buyers) to place orders anytime.
We continue to remain committed to customer service and satisfaction, and have struggled with rising costs like everyone else. Happily, we are able to keep our prices steady for the near future. If you've checked out our cost comparison on the FAQ page, you'll see we are still below the cost of most microbrews and mid-range wines, while still offering an unequalled product (and don't forget those labels!) Add that to our 100% satisfaction guarantee, and you will be hard-pressed to find a better value anywhere in the tri-state area. In fact, The Brewer's Apprentice is one of only 8 BOP's (brew on premise) from North Carolina to Maine!
Our staff and customers are constantly creating new recipes. We currently stand at 175 recipes, with no upper limit in sight! Check out our newsletter for the latest new brews, and any news on upcoming recipes.
Our wine selection has grown considerably from it's modest beginnings in June of 1998. We currently offer over 24 styles to choose from, not to mention Port, Ice Wine, and of course, Mead. This year we have also added the Limited Edition from WinExpert - see our Wine Page for more info (note that the Limited Edition is seasonal, offered in the fall for delivery in January to April of the following year.
We have made a commitment to offering brides-to-be a complete wedding wine favor package, including custom label design, and are starting to exhibit at some of the state's largest wedding shows. We continue to receive wonderful reviews and commentary in Mid Atlantic Brewing News, Brew Your Own, and many local papers. Chances are that if you haven't heard of us before reading this, one of your friends has. We hope you'll come and visit us soon.
Finally, we are growing and not just in numbers. We have grown in experience as well. But most important we have grown some terrific friendships. Our relationship with many of our customers has gone beyond the norm. We are sincere when we say "Its so good to see you".
So, many of you have asked what our plans are. We remain committed to our customer base, and many, if not all, of the improvements we are planning will support our customers and offer them expanded selection and service. After all, our customers have made us everything we are, and many of the improvements we've made have been driven by both our own ideas and our customers' innovations.
We thank you all. Please know you are Appreciated and Valuable
to us.
Sincerely,
Jo-Ellen, Barbara, and Penny.
PS Always feel free to let us know how we are doing. We are willing to hear
your ideas and we will address your comments.
