Selecting the Recipe and Ingredients...

You're ready to pick out the recipe you'll use to create your beer. Many of our customers say this is their favorite part!
We have dozens of recipes, 99 at present, in several different styles to choose from. They range from light lagers to dark stouts, and cover many national styles as well. We've seperated our recipes into five categories, four of which we call "Taps", and in a class by itself is Mead.
Bronze Tap consist mainly of popular-style lagers, Pilsners and a few ales. The beers in this catagory are light and easy drinking. These beers are the lowest-priced at $135.00 per batch.
Silver Tap beers, which is our largest category, are represented by popular ales and continental-style beers. The beers in this category are $145.00 per batch.
Gold Tap beers are the premium group including fine German lagers, American style Pale Ales, British style Bitters and Brown Ales The beers in this category are $155.00 per batch.
Platinum Tap beers are the ultra-premium group and includes stouts and heavier porters and beers with specialty ingredients, like our Hawkwynd Talon Wheat beer. These beers are the top of the line at $165.00 per batch.
Mead. In addition, and by special order, we offer Mead separately. The cost for this brew is $225.00.

Don't forget our group discount rate! Brew 3 or 4 batches at the same time, and you're entitled to a 10% discount. Brew 5 or 6 and you'll get a 15% discount. So, find a group of friends to brew with and you'll all save money and have a great time.

your recipe, it's time to gather the ingredients. You'll receive a procedure
sheet which contains not only the ingredients you'll use, but a step-by-step
set of
There are basically four ingredients used in the making of beer:
Water. Ours is double-filtered, slightly hard, and produces good beer across the board, and we've found that It's especially good for pale and scotch ales. You'll start with about 15 gallons in your kettle.
Grain. We provide you with the finest two-row barley malt and five different malt extracts. We offer 13 different grains.
Hops. We stock several varieties in all alpha ranges, including "nobles", perfectly suited to your brew. We currently have 16 hop varieties in stock.
Yeast. We'll provide you with the correct yeast for
your beer type. We use varieties of yeast prepared especially for our large
kettles. We have been working with liquid yeast
for several of our specialty beers from the beginning. If you have made
a Wheat beer here you know the excellent results. We have a new source
of fresh Ale yeast, ready to pitch into 15 gallon batches. The selection
is extensive. If you choose to use a liquid on a recipe that does not
currently call for one the cost will be an additional $10.00. It is
a must that you contact us at least 2 weeks in advance to order these.
The results are worth the time and cost. In stock yeast, Bavarian Wheat
and American Ale. Call in for Kolsch, Trappist and Weinstephan Wheat.
