The Brewer's Apprentice

Where You're The Brewer!

Volume 12 Issue 2

New Brews!

Old Butcher

Style: Alt

Have a hack at this old (Alt) style German ale. A sociable drink with a good balance between malt sweetness and hop. Although this brew is dark amber in color it is surprisingly crisp and refreshing. This was the drink of Germany before lagers were discovered. $189.00

Reindorf Kölsch

Style: Kolsch / German Ale

Many American beer lovers still haven’t heard of Kolsch style ales, which is a shame… Kolsch beer is the lightest of the ales (the uninitiated may confuse this brew with a lager), yet it’s wonderfully complex. This is the “lawn- mower beer” of beer snobs. $189.00

Smooth Porter

Style: Baltic Porter

This true-to-style Baltic Porter lives up to its name with plenty of depth, a deep black hue, and more smoothness than a cool cucumber on a hot Saturday night. Be forewarned, although this brew is extremely easy to drink it has a very respectable alcohol level. $194.25

County Cork Stout

Style: Stout

This brew pays homage to two famous ales from the shores of southern Ireland. Murphy’s stout & Beamish stout are often overlooked by stout drinkers, however, many feel that they are superior to the “other” famous Irish Stout. County Cork Stout offers a good complexity, body, & drinkability. A great, traditional, Irish stout. $194.25

Dedicated to Our Friend - Charlie Dolski

The Brewer's Apprentice will miss our dear friend, Charlie, who was with us from 5/5/26 to 2/14/08. It was fitting that such a sweet heart should be lifted up on Valentine's Day. He was always ready with a smile, a story, a gentle handshake. Like so many of our longtime customers, he became a friend years ago. His favorite recipe was the Blood and Fire Ale, which was created especially for him by Tom Logan, and it is only fitting to commemorate him with his label. But we will miss his smile, and his gentle demeanor, and when we drink a Blood and Fire, we will toast him, and wish him God Speed!

Bottle pricing and bottle care instructions

Bottle Care and Return Policy

We at The Brewer's Apprentice encourage our customers to re-use their beer bottles and save the cost of having to purchase new ones at each visit. We have some simple rules that must be followed. Each time you brew at TBA we will ask you how many cases of bottles you will need to purchase, if you are returning bottles simply tell us how many cases you intend to reuse.

Effective 12/07 bottles are $5.00 a case.

All bottles must be returned on BOTTLING DATE, not brew date. Bottles brought on brew date will not be accepted. TBA does not buy back unwanted bottles nor do we store them for you. Bottles must be clean!!

After finishing a beer (or two ) rinse out the bottle completely, until the water runs totally clear. Line the bottom of the box with paper towels and return clean bottles to the box, put them in upside down. If your bottles are improperly cleaned this can compromise the quality of your beer.
